While visiting some friends in Rio, I took a trip to visit the beautiful island of Ilha Grande. After hiking across the island all morning, this lovely beach appeared out of nowhere. The waves were right that day but I unfortunately did not have a board. Instead, I decided to take a picture of this surfer and silently cheered him on as he paddled out.
